For workers
Sharing your documents
You decide who may look at your documents, for how long, and you can end it at any time.
Nobody opens your documents unless you say yes. An employer or recruiter you are connected with can ask to see them. The request names the person, the business, the employer or client, the job or role, and why they ask. There are only two reasons: to consider you for the job, and to get you approved by an insurer.
Open My secure documents, then Approvals, to read a request. It lists the documents that would open. A document you marked Private never opens. Next to each one is a link to make it Private if you change your mind.
A yes lets the people named open those documents for up to 30 days. Every download carries a mark with the person's name and a reference code. We cannot take back a copy once it is downloaded. A recruiter may pass copies to a client and its insurer, and the request says so before you answer.
You can end the access at any time. Open the request in Approvals and tap Revoke. A request nobody answers ends after 7 days and nothing is shared.
On file labels are different. They tell employers and recruiters that a paper is on file through a date, and nothing else. Turn one on from the paper's own page. It is never available for a driving record or a background report, and it turns itself off if you make the paper Private.
Service businesses can never ask for your documents.
