Find people

Search People by words, kind of work and place, and what the order means.

People lists people who passed an ID check. Anyone can look, even without an account. Follow, Connect and Save need an account.

1. Open People from the menu.

2. Under What, type a word such as school bus or tanker. Under Kind of work, pick a kind from the list.

3. Under Near, pick a city or ZIP. If you are signed in, choose how many miles around it, up to 150, or leave Any distance.

4. Press Search. Use the chips to see only Driving work or Other transportation work.

A card shows only what a person chose to make public. It never shows a phone number, an email or work status. It shows how far away a person is only as a band, such as Within 25 miles. It never shows how many followers or connections a person has.

How the list is ordered: with a place, the nearest people first. Without one, the most recently published first. If you are signed in, you can switch to Last active. A small dot and the words Recently active mean the person was active in the last 7 days. Visitors do not see this.

If the box says No exact match for your words, showing closest results, we found no listed word like yours and searched the headlines instead. We count those words so the list of words can grow, and we keep nothing about you.

Employers can also search by license, endorsements and work status, and save searches. Those filters arrive for verified employers soon.
